The total trade volume between the Philippines and China has continued to grow in recent years. Among which the Philippines' import volume from China has increased significantly, maintaining an average annual growth rate of 20.7% percent from 2010 to 2017. This enabled China to overtake Japan as the Philippines' top trading partner in 2016 and maintain that position.
